AbChild has been saving up for the raffle and is almost as excited as AbDad.  Looking forward to the bullhead fishing with the Barbie poll off the dock.

Hello All, I'd like to come up with my family for the Albion event to fish and dive. I'm not registered for the event but I'm sure there are other spectators to get out with.

Does anyone have insight on available camping. I know it's late but gotta try...seems in California anymore you have to reserve 7 months in advance. Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks

Van Damm State Park a few miles up the road might have space for camping.

The main Van Damme campground will no doubt be full, but they have a parking lot right on the beach that allows camping if you are in a self contained RV. It always has room.
If you don't know where you're headed, any road could get you there.

Please pm me with your clothing requests so I can put together an order when I get back. thanks, C

Craig, if you can add, or have a small shirt, I can use one to take care of the wife; and not loose anymore WAF points :smt003. If not, no worries; its my bad for not ordering it when I should have...

Thanks Craig!

Hey, this will be my first Albion Open. I didn't see much in the way of rules on the post, but is spearfishing allowed at this tournament for the four main species? This might have been mentioned somewhere, but I can't find anything.

There is a prize category for longest abalone.

This is not a Top-to-Bottom competition. So I would presume spearing the four main species does not qualify for the top three award plaques.

I forgot about ABs since I can't dive. I've had lung issues all my life. Used to be we could find ABs on the rocks at Low tide. That has long past down here.

Hi guys, I just had a bunch of things fall on me. I am having to withdraw from the tournament. Don't worry it was going to be my first time fishing from a kayak in the ocean so the chances of me winning were pretty slim!!  I did not have a site for camping so sorry if anyone was thinking they could get it. I wish you all good luck and please be safe. Hope to see you all next year...
