My schedule might be clearing up but I would still likely be launching a little later. Is everyone going to be on 69? If I can make it I'll probably be launching from the old pier by 9.

Cheers
Brad

Slow day at HMB, managed a 15" greenling and a 14" black. Had several short Lings. Also managed 2 dungie and 5 large rock crabs. Hope others had better luck!

Posting pic of one of the short ling caught and the black.

Slow for me also.  1 blue and 7 dungies and 1 rock crab.  Would have stayed longer but was getting seasick after tying a couple rigs.  I started chumming the water while measuring the crabs.  Heard the other guys getting lings on the second can.

I got a 12" black rock along the jetty.  Got to mention this.  People from Half moon bay kayak (HMBK) are awesome.  My diy cart was broken while wheeling back to my car.  Those nice people from HMBK saw my situation and helped carry my kayak to my car's rooftop.

Our 3  man crew ended up with 2 keeper lings, 3 cabs and 2 blacks.  We had 4-5 shaker lings too.

All in all a slow day.  We caught most of the fish out by the red can.
I pulled 2 PB cabs - both 23".  In the picture the ling on the right was my friends.  Everything to the left of that was mine.

Yeah they are!

Headed out with hope of a ling limit repeat with stra8fishn. Though that isn't what happend. Despite the nice weather, fishing started slow. Fishing the same numbers without any luck except for a keeper cab. At 1 I was about to call it, but Stra8fishn found an area and began to crush it. Inspired I stuck around and fished. By 2:30 we both had ling and cab limits minus one ling that missled his way off my yak :smt013 It was a better than last week for me with my first cab and it being 24" and fat. Str8fishn had bigger overall limits with a bonus Tako. Damn dude was calling his catch. At one point in the day I was trying to film a grey whale that breached a few yards from bones and another boater, but Str8fishn says "film this!" I turn and he's hooked up again. Good times! I'll be checkin out the recipie boards for cab recipie!

I got lucky and caught 3 cabs, 3 lings, and a 20" black rockfish.  It was slow at first, fishing numbers from two weeks ago but when we found them, the same areas continued to produce and the fish kept getting bigger.  Checked our crab pots for a bunch of undies.  My big ling of day gifted me an octopus...smelled fresh...so I took it home and made tako poke!   :smt044

+10 on the awesome peeps that work at HMBK!

Awesome man.  I guess most of the fish are past the red can.  I caught my blue there.  I fid not even know i had it on the line.  I dropped a 3" storm shad to drift while rigging a new big hammer.  When inreeled it was on.  Did not struggle to come on board at all.  I would have stayed at the 2nd can longer but wanted to head back to pick up my pots before i get delerious and pule my brains out.  It was a good call i did seasick is no joke while having to pick up pots.  At least my wife and i were full with crab for the weekend.
