Wow back in 2006 no-one that took the poll pedaled a Revo. I just voted Revo and there is only one vote for them. Surprised because you sure see a lot of them nowadays. jim

Whoops accidently voted twice. So now there are two votes for Revo!  :smt044

I believe the popularity of the Hobie Kayaks (here in NorCal) was due to Chucke. His influence spawned out a lot of "Dark side" guys  :smt045

We followed ChuckE to the "dark side"  :smt044

yup, chucke worked really hard for Hobie . He was always present at the outdoor shows from the early days and onto the present. And I truly believe he's one of the best ambassadors of the Hobie Fishing team :smt045 (Just like Allen Bushnell is for Ocean Kayaks)

* I must say I'am very proud of knowing that NCKA has produced many (if not all) of the sponsored kayak fishermen here at Nor Cal. With that, I would like to salut you all for being great ambassadors of the sport  :salut: :salut: :salut:

Team Hobie:
Chucke
Danglin
Zee
Otobepelagic
Holy Toledo

Team Ocean Kayak
scallen
mooch
Pole Pole
yakhopper
bsteves

Wilderness Systems:
Ariel

BrianG and Paddle and Flies use to rep for Current Designs as well - back when they had a fishing team.

perhaps this should have been better off as a separate thread but oh well....

I think a lot of that has to do with the fact that they came out in '06.  It might have even been '07.

I primarily paddle a T-15, but also use a T-11 and P-15.

We have another NCKAer to add to the list of sponsored anglers - Ravensblack has joined the Pro Staff at OK!

Congrats Craig!      :smt004

Remember to practice safe knots, because big fish don't just break your line, they also break your heart.

Mooch, you are totally right on about ChuckE's influence. I remember at Elk watching him pulling his kayak back up the hill with his stringers of all huge fish thinking 'I wanna be like that'  :smt007 and 'How can he pull that much weight up the hill?'  :smt003.
And of course O2B & HT's success..... I mean domination.  :smt004 jim

PS: Congrats to OK & Craig. They are lucky to get somebody like Craig so dedicated to the kayakfishing lifestyle.  :smt023
Now I wouldn't be surprised if a certain other avian creature was next.  :smt002 'Birds of a feather fish together.'  :smt005

My first yak was a Hobie outfitter tandem.  A mistake; but not a mistake choosing a Hobie.  I now ride a Hobie  Revo and would only consider one other yak; the Outback would be my only other choice.

Ok 4.7 as of yesterday. Wahoo!
Never argue with an idiot. They'll just drag you down to their level, and beat you with experience.
