Wow! I've come to a realization and decision....

I'm right there with you man. Although I've never cared about winning or losing really. I've spent nearly all my vacation time up on tourneys since 2009 and neglecting stuff I shouldn't. No more of that. No GS this year for me and probably no Albion and definitely no freshwater anything. Just going to fish with my crew when the wx says I should.

I always enter,  and want to  win,  but I get more excited about the  raffles!!!

It sounds like it's time to get rid of the Cab too.

Cab driver for life... I have a second one (exactly the same!!!) just in case mine gets hurt... LS for sure! I'll still be fishing, but only 'cause I want to .... (ps, I always want to...) Fish and chills anyone? MBF? I'm down to do more of that! Will still post fish to AOTY just to show off Who knows with more time to play i might just find the 18" Crappie

I guess I'm more on the opposite side of the pole.  I get my enjoyment from the competition.  Do I have to win to have fun?  Of course not, but the stress of the tournament, the up all night the night before getting things prepped, the research for weeks before hand, the trash talking, the head to head competition, etc is what I love.  I enjoy being on the water with others too, and will even offer help or advise on the water during the tourney if I see someone that's not doing as well.  Being that I'm not from Cali and haven't known you guys for years might be part of the reason for my feelings.  Although, I do feel like I was welcomed with open arms from many of you that I've met when I moved here two years ago.  I've enjoyed the NCKA tournies that I've entered as well as the comraderie at the events.  I look forward to each and every one that I can attend, but I also look forward to the tourney portion just as much!!

I totally get where you're coming from and that's cool. Rob is right, don't let the competition stress you out man. Like I mentioned to you when we pre-fished rollins last week. It's the decisions you make that will decide how you place. When I'm fishing an event, I'm not fishing against you or him or anybody else, I'm fishing against myself for the most part. Can I make the right decisions: right baits, right locations, the homework, weather, season, ect. And when it all comes together with maybe just a bit of luck, I love it. I'm kind of a competitive guy and have been all my life but I except loosing and it's OK, because I learn from my bad decisions and I know I'll get better, if I want to.

I also love a little trash talk too, not hating but just having fun. There is absolutely no reason to hate on another angler cause he placed better than you. I believe the hater is the guy that is fucking up a good tourney, spreading bad vibes to others, haters suk!

So if you plan on just chill'n, how'd you like to join me OTW. I'll have a couple GoPro cameras on poles. Let's go around and get some cool video of the competitors: Catch video, underwater stuff, maybe we can capture one of us hooking some bed fish. Just try to capture the fun of the event on camera so we can share it later with everyone who wasn't able to attend. Sound fun?

Hmmmm.... that might be fun. I don't know how to use a gopro My daughter emma or kelsie might enjoy that and they will figure it out easy planning to fish a bit before chillin.....

Ahh yes.  I remember now.  I watched "Training Day" starring Denzel Washington while I was posting.  Good movie.

That was a great tourney.  I totally would have done better if I'd gotten in the water just once.
