FISH ON !!

Sat. morning started off very good, out in the water by 6:30 a.m. i launch at san carlos boat ramp , heading down to delmonte beach. I saw someone in the distence and it turn out to be Allen B. (nice to see you ) well, I got down across from sand city and started fishin. igot a small sand dab oh ya they are allways small on a whole squid. then move in to another spot. with the tide starting to come in, i was feeling good. Allen left had to go to paddle feast at monterey bay kayak. that when it all happen zzzzzzzzzzzz!!! as i was doing something  then i look and saw a seal damm i thougt, o.k check bait and fish on!!! as i get it up to color i then saw that it was a big halibut, well 24.9.4 #. it gave a nice fight but it ennded up coming going for a ride on my sled  chefstefano

Was this on a 3 way halibut rig?

Way to go Chef... that's a big momma... I saw your pics in the Photo section... 24# 9.4 oz... you're setting the bar high for the big Halibut jackpot... and it's barely even May!!!

THANKS FOR POSTING THE PHOTO'S , YESTERDAY WAS A QUICK TRIP I HAD JUST ENOUGH TIME TO POST AND UPLOAD. I GOT THE FISHIN 60 FEET ON A DROOPER LOOP RIG. I CAN'T WAIT FOR DINNER TONIGHT ONE OF MY FAVORITE FISH TO EAT BEET-MASHPOTATOES WITH ARUGULA OIL CHEFSTEFANO
