Other then Point Arena and Anchor bay; are there any launch sites in the area?

I'm planning to camp at Manchester beach next week.

One idea is Little River Beach, which is a few miles north of the 128/1 intersection. I've never launched there, but I was there in calm weather in January & it would have been a piece of cake then.

I live half way between PA and AB and those two spots are the  best bet. Not much available between.  One possibility is Moat Creek, 3 miles south of PA, but it is pretty exposed to wind and waves.

How is AB?  Is launch free and or easy?  I notice there is a camp site before the beach. Do you need to drive throgh the campsite to get to the water?

You can launch from the beach at the campground.  Wheel your kayak to the north end of the beach where it is more protected from the surf.  Launching right from the entry to the beach often results in a yard sale.  There is a fee for launching.  When you drive in, there is an office where they will ask for $.  I recently moved to the area and plan to use AB as my regular launch site.
