MBK Annual Fishing Derby MAY 2, 2015

Gents, any hints on the parking? Or I should not be concerned at all? (first time @ MBK)

When I should I plan to arrive so I don't miss all the fun?

FYI. I was on the water for about five hours today just getting some pre-tournament fishing going on. Rock fishing was good as usual. Halibut was quiet.  A ton of bait in the water today. And I really mean a TON! 

You can park in the dirt lot at MBK or in the paved city lot right next to it (by the eucalyptis trees). It costs the same at both spots: $10/day.
I think it starts @ 7am? And I think you gotta sign in & get your wristband before that.
Me & Brian G are carpooling, so we'll be there by 10am...

You can always pull into MBK and get the yak to the water and park on the street ifthe lot is full. Remember to buy a parking pass if you park in the lot

I have had way less rash that I was dealing with and also have moved to smoothies with the whole veggies 15 lbs so far
but we have moved back and forth and pizza and stuff has happened
our goal is to do a 3 day juice with salad dinners monday to get back to more healthy eating and to bump start the next 15 lb goal....good stuff

thx a lot for the info craig.  guess i'm gonna load up after work.  just gotta get up early enough to get out on time now.  craig i've been juicing for the past week, we grow a lot of chard, have some lemon and orange trees.  been on that routine all week, might have to skip it in the am cause it takes like 1/2 hour from start to finish/clean up.  you know what it does to your insides when you first start doing it again!

All 3 of my lingcod put together might have barely tied the 1st place winners fish 

It was a great day. I had a 60 hour week so I bailed as soon as it was announced and am now going to nap.

Congrats winners and I'm not going to share who or what fish size they caught in case Bushy or the winners want to mention it themselves.

Great seeing you all! My friends had a blast. Caught their first lingcod and rockfish in their first kayak trip ever. That's a good day.
