Holy smokes,  thank you all for the tips and suggestions,  especially Ring King. Tons of info there for me to check out, it will take me some time to go through and check out all of that!
Waco is only on the list because it is my cousin's hometown lake,  and I will be staying at his place for a night.
A good portion of the trip will be driving, lots of ground to cover, but I know 800 miles in a day is more than doable for me. Plus if I end up needing a few more days, it shouldn't be a problem, I have enough vacation time. Looking at all these new places.  . . I am pretty sure it will end up more like 21 days  :smt003
It also got my brother and my dad fired up telling them about it,  and they may fly in to meet me somewhere along the way.

Sounds insane, but I know you will have a great time.  I'm doing 3 weeks this summer to Oregon, but won't be driving like you.
So long and thanks for all the fish!!!

Figured I would give a heads up on the final plan. . . leaving this Thursday!  Thanks again for all the suggestions, had to make a few changes to the schedule after going through Ring King's crazy write up!  Here is the list in order on the route I am taking. (weather pending of course)
April 30 - May 19

Lake Powell, Utah
Lake Fork, Texas
Delacroix, Louisiana (Mississippi River Delta)
Lake Istokpoga, Florida
Upper Keys, Florida
Lower Keys, Florida
Pine Island / Matlacha, Florida
Caddo Lake, Texas
Lake Whitney, Texas
Lake Havasu, Nevada

It sure sounds a little crazy, I know.  It is a lot of driving, but I'm pretty sure I have all the logistics on driving and where I am staying dialed in.  Hopefully the weather cooperates with me, and the fish too for that matter.  I will definitely do a post trip write-up, hopefully with some awesome fish porn included!

Scott that is exactly what I was thinking. Not much time to fish. in fact just enough time to say I looked at that lake looked fishable maybe next time when I have more time.
