Anyone else part of the Bass Pro class action lawsuit?

I never fill those little cards out. But got bored one day and filled out one I received in the mail for a suit against Bass Pro. I get a phone call the other day saying that my check(s) were returned. I finally call guy back to give him my updated address since my old one I don't live at anymore when I filled out the card. I ask him what the checks amounts were. One $500+ and other $300+!!! (can't remember exact amounts he told me) I almost choked! I still have to see them to believe them. I will definitely be posting a picture if they come and are legit.

I filled out the card for the class action and got nothing. 
I guess my conversation was tame compared to yours.

This is what I was thinking.....I guess as long as we play along and sign the checks, the system will keep on marching.  I wonder how much more you'll have to pay for gear at the bass pro now!!!

Its legit. Took it to US bank and cashed it. I dunno. I dont really care if Im recorded or not. Not like I told the Bass Pro guy on the phone some deep dark secrets of mine. But I am definitely not going to say no to free money. But I also dont agree Bass Pro getting hit with something stupid like this. Hard to keep low prices when they have to pay for peoples stupidity.

Why cover up the routing and banking numbers.  We could all print checks.

$800 bucks is nothing to sneeze at.  Time to buy a new kayak or rod/reel? 

from one POV, BPS is getting wacked.  If each consumer gets nearly $0.9K USD, that's a big chunk of change.

From another POV, they are getting off easy.  Penal Code 637.2 provides for at least $5K recovery, even where the claimant has not suffered actual damages, as here with Jeff!

What is it BPS did to you that got you $800????

I am considering spending it there since Ive always been a customer there. Im guessing it was my multiple phone calls when I bought my boat there. From what I read most people just got $75-100. So must be because of multiple phone calls?
