3.15 Sunday - Ethan's first speared fish

Dove this past Saturday and couldn't believe how nice the vis was and how calm the cove became.  I told myself that if any day to teach a 8yr old, it was this weekend.  After diving all day sat, picked up the family at lovers beach and told my wife we need to come back Sunday.  She looked at me like I was crazy as everyone was exhausted from playing at the beach.

Woke up Sunday morning all packed and ready to go, but the rest of the family was still sleeping.  After they all crawled out of bed, I threw them in my truck and headed off to Monterey.

Below is from Sat, but my gopro was acting up saying the memory was full when it wasn't even close.  Ended up deleted my good footage of the lings and had just some random shots of small fish.  Think at least the vis shots were cool.

The kid vid is great. I have an 8 and 12 year old that are both on me to get into the ocean w dad.

What a day to be on the water with your boy! Good job! I think I saw you guys heading down the 101 I noticed the raptor.

Having your kids enjoy the hobbies that you do is the greatest feeling.  I need to put my name on the kayak so its easier to recognize us on the water!  101 is my commute to monterey fishing, so most likely it was us.  Where's G-Whiz, he still doing stencils?

That's great.  Wish I started diving as a kid. 

Think I saw you OTW Sat. Just watched the vid with my 11 year old.
He's laid up with a fractured heal. Been practicing breath ups with him the past couple days. Got his static breath hold to 1:47seconds today.

I saw that on sunday, him taking off on the kayak laughing his ass off as I was trying to swim back to him.... kids, got to love them!
