note to self, if i get bumped from beneath, head to shore ASAP!  i'm glad the landlord decided not to collect on you today.

i was out solo bouncing lead + herring yesterday.  it was spooky calm and no one around.  might have to rethink going solo again.

Not me my yak is too long and fast to provide cover for your six LOL.

Freaky s#@t often I get an uneasy feeling when off the SMC or Marin coast. Been sticking to areas with more boat traffic, makes me feel safer.

Glad there was no damage and seems like it was a bump not a bite.

Crazy story!  Glad it turned out the way it did. On a positive note, I hope the shark continues to sharpen it's skills and leave kayaks the hell alone = not a food source.

That is an incredible encounter! Thanks for sharing this. I saw the GoPro footage, and it proves they are always around us. Its a crazy thought. Not sure it has been talked about in the other posts of attacks, but the water clarity looked a little stained???

Matt glad you an Sean are OK. Maybe Sean can paint some of his anti-shark tribal art on your kayak. Unfortunately, this year is sharky, more than in past years considering this is only March. Maybe because there are more of them and more of us. Haven't use my shark shield in a few years but will probably use it this year.

that was a frikkin crazy sight. It all happened so fast that it still seems like it might not have happened at all :smt001
Matt had a better view than I did, but I saw the long back, roughly from the gill slits to maybe 3-4 feet behind the dorsal fin, which was broad and sharply triangular.
Ed on the wharf was mentioned in WON last week as having a 12footer check him out while he was skiff fishing.

guess we ought to hum a little louder to keep the bears calm this season. :smt005

Funk!  Glad you guys are safe!  Seems like a lot of "sightings" in that area over the years.
