Years ago, as a teenage kid in Florence, Italy, I encountered one of these. I quickly learned to step off the foot pads when flushing unless you wanted wet feet! That bucket looks better!!

those are some weird drinking fountains...get your knees all dirty

that last one could be a real mess after a night of cheap vodka..

Encountered a few of these in Japan.
Not to fun when you are not accustomed to and especially if you are inebriated. 
This was in the early 80's.

I've used those once or twice.  . There are 2 problems... 1. Leg cramps from squatting too long (especially if ya aren't used to it)  2. If you have the squirts... well, let's just it's messy for shoes/pants so be careful. LOL!
