Show up to moss landing without your trolling lead for salmon season. You will really get to know the value of this deal. You can pay upwards of 8 dollars for a 3lb ball at one of the local shops.

Alex

I know that's crazy.  That's why I am stockpiling my lead finds while diving.  I have about 60 lbs now not including the 24 lbs I just bought for $21 trough this site.  And if anyone comes to Ft Bragg and forgets their lead they can contact me and I will loan you some.

I peeled one of the downrigger ball and it felt light compare to my other store bought 4lb ball. Put it on the scale and it read just a little over 3#. Still a good deal on lead though.

Use two of them

It's always better to use 2 balls...

I melted some of them for future use and all of them has one or two metal things in them. No wonder they were light. Oh well, still good price I guess.
