So since I am coming from Sacramento area, would it be better to take I-5 down to the 205 to 580 and cross over, or to take the 680 route?

the I5 , 205, 580 route I believe would be best, and if you want to take off early to beat the rush back home you should do so,,, other wise, be committed to doing some fishing after the event as getting out of there around 5 is insane,,,

Check the traffic in the morning.  It's pretty much even as to which way to come down from Sac, a few minutes either way.  I personally prefer 5 to 205/580, getting off at Isabel when I come home from the Sac area, but the Altamont can always be a mess in the mornings.

All geared up. I'll be on the water early tomorrow, plan to be there around 6:45 to set up and fish by myself for a while.

Went well, fishing wasn't great and there were not too many vets, but we got about a half dozen on the water and we had a good crew.

dozen participants….  a count of 32 for the "Activity Report…" That includes everyone and if their military or first responder…

They had a, "Miscue" at the VA and half the participants did not show… oh well, made our job easier on a Hot day in Pleasanton….

Thanks to Kathy from Delta Adventures and kevdoggie for bringing enough yaks that we were loaded for bear, with all the volunteers from NCKA kiiling it like pros, as usual…

Thanks Everyone, pics later, too tired,,,

June 6th, Lodi Lake is next….
