I will be in regardless of venue even though time constraints make it impossible for me to make it to Forebay or Mendo. Are those the only two places allowed or can we enter a striper from anywhere???? I have time to make a quick shot to the delta. Like I said, I am in regardless.

Yeah Tote,

Don't worry about it, you can fish anywhere.

Remember that the legal (tourney wise) time to fish is safe light to 1pm.

Winner is heaviest two stripers so bring your scale.

Because I said so.  :smt002

Heh, it is actually just a common time that I have fished tournaments in the past in San Diego.  Safe light until lunchtime.  More tradition than anything else.

I wanted to have some time to shoot the baloney and eat shore lunch with the competitors at the Forebay.

We did team (4 yakkers) tourneys in san diego.  They were very fun.

I'm still a member of the Floating Banana Brotherhood.

I do know know why you guys would compare the fish from Mendo to the Forebay.  Do the forebay guys just want to give away money.

You will catch stripers from 12"to 24" at the forebay.....maybe 3 lbs if you stuff it with rocks like Mooch... have got 18 to 19" at Mendo.  But most are 7 lbs plus.  Land lock records for the forebay were years ago.

If you want to get big stripers I would fish the Main lake.

Umm ... that is the point of this tourney!!!

I'm heading to the Forebay because I just don't feel like driving all the way up to Ukiah.  That and Zeelander has a big ol' whale there that I need to show him how to catch.

I'm on record as saying that my prediction is that a forebay angler will win.

Take it to the bank!

I am afraid a Delta fisherman who will deal with wicked current, mad boaters, and giant ships will win. :fish
I have to go out and get a scale now. Hope they make one that BIG!!!!
