Oh, a burning man virgin! You're gonna have an amazing time. I sure hope you like dubstep.  :smt004
Put lots of lights on your bike and clothing, you don't want to get run over by a mutant vehicle.

Clothing is optional there  :smt005

If you don't get an std at burningman, you're doing it wrong.
Seriously though, just stay out of the comfort and joy camp and you'll be just fine.  :smt005

Maybe the reason it is called Burningman is,  why does it feel like it's burning when I piss man?

What happens at BM, stays at BM

False.

What happens at BM gets discussed, bragged about, and displayed in photo and artistic rendition for about six months after the event.

Then about six months before the next event, the desert goggles come out of their six-month hibernation in the BM gear trunk, and they get to relive the whole thing in gory detail... again... as they get ready for the next round.

True ...  I just watched, again, SPARK.  The couple of us here at work who are trying to go are all bound up with 'ticket sale' excitement.  Yesterday was the 'Pre-Reg' day & it opened up about an hour late.  Next wed's is ticket sales & we just got our info on time, site, cost & all the details so we are trying to get all the leg work done now so pardon me next wed's as I will ne out of the NCKA office till i get my damn tickets!

I've been toying with the idea of making a personal size art/mutant vehicle to cruise the Playa with.  Few ideas included building wheels/motor under an old, sit on top kayak  :smt003  Another idea I'd REALLY  like to find is a Shriners-type gokart!!!!  Last option is a small gokart that I can weld a metal skin to the outside as art ... maybe a fish or something & fire .. it has to have FIRE!

Just over 1 hour ... 40,000 tickets SOLD OUT (& over 80,000 pre-registered just to be in-line for a ticket).  Nobody from my group of 4 people got tickets. :smt010  Few more chances to do so on the "open market" over the next few months. :smt012

I hate scalpers with a passion. They are the worst people on earth, and each time we buy tickets from them they multiply...
