You guys rock, you trow a hell of a tournament for crabfest, only a handful of crab showed up this year for about 100 anglers and nobody cares about that. because the campground just about sold out for next year and it was just announced a couple of days ago.

This is not meant in a snarky way at all. I'm just curious why hold the event so far away from the opener when that area has been crabbed, crabbed and crabbed out some more.

It would be impossible to get a camping spot in November. Plus it's not all about the crabbing. In years past we have had plenty of crab come in. This year the wind prevented many people from going out.

I go to have fun. If I get crab that is just a bonus. I got perch from the beach right there. To me this is like a family reunion. This was my third year and can't wait for next years.

What else are you going to do?  there is no rockfishing  from a kayak in January anyways... 
and is fun to hangout with your friends 

yeah is more productive at HMB, but who wants to camp in a parking lot? 

and it may be more productive in Bodega next year... if people quit on taking the females

It's more about the fest, than it is about the crab.
