Can anyone tell me when we will know for sure if we can take crab at Crabfest? I assume it will depend on a test being performed before Crabfest with enough time for the bureaucrats to make it official. Based on the schedule they have used for testing, when is the last test that will be in time for Crabfest?

Numbers keep dropping and looking better and better.  Today:

https://www.cdph.ca.gov/pubsforms/Documents/fdbFrSSda24.pdf

So, we have been getting pretty consistent tuesday updates, and the south land opened on a thursday after the tuesday numbers.  So I'd say two clean tuesday tests would result in a thursday opener so long as the entire coast is clean.  Eureka tested above warning levels yet again in the results released today by just barely, so at least 16 days from today.  Unless dfw decides to open sonoma coast and keep us closed here.  Which would be fantastic and hopefully something that happens this week, but I'm not holding my breath.

So they will test the Tuesday before Crabfest with a chance of opening on the Thursday before. Thanks.

There is a lag time between the tests being conducted and being released.  The tests that will be released in 2 weeks will be conducted soon (like today), ocean conditions permitting.  I'm not sure anyone is attempting to cross the humboldt bar right now.

Ok. I figured there was lag time. I guess the weather complicates things too. Do we expect any results to be released before crabfest? I haven't been following the reports as they come out.

New bulletins get uploaded 2-3 times a week. List:

There will be a lot of test results trickling through between now and then.

Well, I have some bad news. Linelle's Mom died last Monday. The family is having the memorial on the 30th of Jan. So I have two campsites that I'm not going to be able to use for Friday and Saturday night. All paid for. If anyone needs a site or two for both nights please PM me. The sites are # 124 and 127  Thanks, Craig

Sorry for your lost.  Hopefully, someone will take your spot/s.
