There are only 5 spots left in the whole campground, and the Jetty has been booked for almost a year. Get ready to kick off 2016 NCKA style.

Just took a look at the online reservations and there is one spot left in Gull Campground and 3 in the Miwok Tent Campground. If you are on the fence now is a time to grab a spot. A majority of NCKA will be in the Jetty Campgroind.

So who has fished for perch at Doran Beach? From kayak and from shore? I know a few people caught some perch at crabfest last year.

Vic, there are alot of perch inside the harbor. There is alot of cool stuff to explore and any structure should hold fish. try around pilings and under docks. also chum the Eel grass beds with Saltine crackers to attract Jack Smelt. The Perch and Smelt on Ultra light gear is a blast. I have had most success anchoring above structure and casting toward or beyond. Fly guys should try intermediate and type II sinking lines with white beadhead chrystal Buggers in smaller sizes(People have been known to catch Steelhead and Halibut inside the Harbor) . Be aware of boat traffic coming and going. I am going to try to be there if I can get a weekend day off. David
