We are what we pretend to be, so we must be careful about what we pretend to be.

I want to stay as close to the edge as I can without going over. Out on the edge you see all kinds of things you can't see from the center.

People aren’t supposed to look back. I’m certainly not going to do it anymore.”

I had fun even though I managed only a few rockcrabs. Hanging out with everyone was a blast except for my dog Brody who found a skunk at 5am. After that things got a little stinky around the trailer!

Thanks Victor and all the sponsors!  Awesome event.  It was great to meet you folks out there.  My wife and daughter had a great time (on Saturday and at the Potluck/Awards)... not so much on Sunday morning in the freezing wind!   :smt044 :smt044  Looking forward to next year!

Craig,

Great meeting you,  and thanks for posting pictures.

Victor, great, great job. And I hope you were able to raise a lot of money.

Dan, your support is always appreciated.

And to the guy who won the Eddyline. After hearing what you went through to get you and your kids up to Crabfest from Fresno. And the effort to expose your children to the open air, ocean camping, crabbing, and the sense of brotherhood, I can not think of a more deserving person to take home the big prize. Your little girls smile while she was sitting in the new kayak was priceless. Good karma all around.

Great weekend, in spite of wind, and looking forward to next year.

Sad I missed it guys & gals.  Looks like it was a good time despite the wind.  Congrats all!

Bill

We miss you there.  Thank you for making those beautiful plaques Bill.

The crab in the oyster is a female pea crab. They are "pea" sized up to a dime in diameter. The females have a clear carapace that allows you to see the orange gonads. The males are similar in size with an opaque carapace yellowish in color. Not much is known about their feeding habits, they seem to be commensal with the mollusc host.  Ive had my share of oysters and only come across one once.  :smt006

:smt003 That's my new buddy boat going under the GG Bridge. Thanks Craig for the generous act of transporting that kayak 350 miles for me. Not bad for ten bucks in swim baits.  :smt003 Don't ask for the shirt off his back, he will give it to you.

A big THANK YOU to Victor and Narrisa for all the prep and planning, and too all the sponsors! I still have a new F/F to install on my yak, but I have a feeling the new Elite-5 will be installed on Laura's yak before mine!

Surprised we haven't seen pictures of eddyline finals, or heard from winner.
