I also use a single PWC trailer.  Initially, I just lengthened the 2X4 bunks and it worked fine except I couldn't see it behind my van.  After backing it into a ditch and destroying my rear bumper, I decided to make a major modification.  I had tubing welded to create two load bars which allow the yak to ride high enough for me to see it in my mirror.  I used some old saddles and hully rollers to make the loading easy.  I covered the original deck with plywood and laminated it with "diamond plate" rubber fatigue mat material and mounted four large Plano gear boxes for stowing all of my gear.  I can't get a good picture since it is tightly wedged into my garage but it was at Crabfest and will be at GS-9.

I got a bumper camera so I can see it backing up, but a flag, like those on OHV's riding in the desert use, should do the trick to see where the trailer is while backing up.
