I'm seeing signs that crabbing is getting easier @ doran than it has ben in the past month. I brought home 5-6 dungies and a couple nice rocks and my friend got limits.
I saw 2 jumbos today!!!
I think crabfest will have some crabs... u will have to work for them though.....

And the weather... Foggy in SR, but beautiful in Bodega Bay :smt002

Nice! I was out there the weekend of January 9th and did ok. I even put my go pro in my trap and saw that I had my doors weighed down too much.

Awesome video! Those perch are a trip. Look like shiners?

I'm sure it's variable, but how deep (or shallow!) of water are folks usually in out at Doran? Just setting up the lines now, so I'm wondering.

The majority of the crabbing is done in 15-30 feet. A little bit deeper if you go farther out.

cool to see that little sand dab bopping around in the first few seconds when the clip goes to faster-than-realtime. Cool video all around, actually. Thanks for posting it!

Very cool video!. Did not see a crab push through doors. Most went in trespassed.  :smt001

It was very cool to hear all the sounds made from I suspect hard shells of the crabs as they crawled all over the cage.  Might have even heard a boat prop (very faint whine?)
