I thought you were selling a solidworks upgrade named fastrak  :smt044.  WTH did I open this thread for, damn you!

PS.  You're screwed.  just pay the fee and fine.  Classic government BOHICA and you will not win w/o spending gobs of time.
Glad I wasn't the only one thinking SolidWorks :smt001  Though, I'm adapted to Inventor more-so now.

You opened the thread hoping for bootleg copies of a 3d cad program?  I didn't realize you were that into design.

Followed PPick's advice, they picked up on my second try....2 minutes of sweet talkin and I'm in the clear.  Apparently they've been getting calls all day for this, system error.

If you open an account they will forgive the first fine, even though it's their fault. They lost my check I argued with them till I was blue in the face because I didn't want to open an account. Finally opened one  they forgave my fine and a week or two later the returned my check.  :smt013

Better than the cialis and midol ads that are popping up from the Anchor Bay campground thread. :)

^^^^^ - this

But about the nightmare named FasTrak: We had to call and complain to the AG's offices bout them to get any movement.

FT returned our payments, then fined us for not paying. We sent letters, copies, made calls, it is a seriously effed up SCAM.

I got the same thing about a year ago before the booths closed. Paid the original fine right away, but would keep receiving late fee notices, etc. Finally after waaaay too much time on the phone waiting to talk to a human, I speak with a woman who tells me to just ignore the notices because they are back logged for months catching up on toll violations. My original check cleared the bank after about 3 months and never heard a thing since.

Whaaaat?  It's not cost effective to have someone there to collect cash all day?

Nothing worse than organizations that make it difficult to give them money.

Not even close to cost effective to have a human, and slows traffic. Most folks just get the transponder, that is filled like a debit card. You can actually use it to pay for parking in some lots as well...super duper easy.

I drove across the bridge with fuzz at the end of November and didn't get the bill before I left for NOLA on 12/18.

Checked mail yesterday and got bill and deadline to pay was 1/6.

Went online to pay (on 1/6) and it said I was late and would need to pay the $25 late fee!

 :smt013 :smt011

Submitted a "dispute" online and got an email confirmation saying they would get back to me within 5 days...will see!

Thanks for the reminder Art!!

 :smt006

Sincerely,

Jim

Wait a minute!

The original bill, not the late notice, says the due date is January 26, 2015.  It's not late yet, is it?  Pay that one.

I think he contacted them & found out there was an error in their billing causing people to get a regular bill & an overdue bill.

I got a notice like this once for a toll in SoCal.  Photo and everything.  Thing was; I've never driven to SoCal with that particular car ever.  The photo showed the back of the car and while it was the same license plate as mine, and the same brand of car, the model name was different.  I called the phone # on the notice and told them that.  The gal on the phone immediately cancelled the fee and thanked me for bring to her attention.  Never heard another thing about it, but somewhere running around SoCal is a 2011 silver gray Subaru Forester XT with a duplicate plate same as mine.  The only difference is mine isn't the 2.5X, it's the 2.5X PZEV
