Looking for recommendations for a fishing seat.

Considering the Austin Kayak Gone Fishin' seat...I like the idea of one with a little storage and rod holders in addition to adding a bit of comfort/ support to my old Necky Dolphin.

FWIW, I'm 6' and about 195.

Thanks!
14' Necky Dolphin, fast and wiggly, no room for anything.

I'm 6' and much bigger than you and was very comfortable in that seat. I liked it a lot.
Thresher in avatar and Soupfin Shark in signature both caught and pic taken by me.

I use a Seairsports Pacific Angler on one of my kayaks. High back and I have no problem reaching around. I am 6'2" though.

Have you used the Surf To Summits, Rob? If so how would you describe the differences/plusses and minus?

Thanks!

Never used STS. The backs are the same height as Seairsports though. More features on SAS, pockets, Rod holders, lash points, plier/tool holders etc. I use most of the features in one way or another.

Just received the Austin Gone Fishin' seat.  Damn.  That's some next level stuff right there when compared to the old back band I had on the Frenzy I sold.  Gonna give it a whirl tomorrow on a Crab-fest dry run out by the Alameda Rockwall.

Anybody know if the sts seats fit in the ok scramblers?  The yak seat sits very low and narrow. Thick seat pads don't fit well cuz of this shape.

I've been using STS seats in my Scrambler XT for years - great fit.

Thx. What model u use? Ever use one with built in rod holders? Thinkin about gettin one cuz my ok seat is worn out.  Things been stitched back together a few times!  Yak has 2 flush mount rod holders, but Im thinkin rod holders on the back of the seat would be good for the ol wood shampoo and lip grippers.  Gonna have to upgrade seat eventually.
