Send a brother some love....help stop bullying

This is hard stuff to talk about.
My cousin NCKA member Brandon "Sashimi" Shimizu and his wife could use some kind words and prayers.
Days before the memorial service for his father, Brandon's 12yr old son Ronin took his own life.....
This is so messed up, the family is devastated.

So sorry to hear/read the news. I know what it's like to be bullied, being one of the very few Asisan kids in a southern school. School admins need to seek out the bullies more vigorously for accountability. I never believed in the "boys will be boys" attitude.

This kind of news is so heart wrenching to hear. I will keep this beautiful young soul of Ronin's in my thoughts and prayers.

After opening up the Sac bee link provided and seeing the picture of that young man, lost to us all, instant tears, grief and sorrow beyond expression. Donation sent. Young Master Shimizu parents and his family will need compassion and understanding for the rest of their days.

Will we ever learn ?
 

This is a terrible loss. This boy was clearly a beautiful person. My heartfelt condolences to Ronin's family.

That is such a hard stage of life for so many young children. It is so SAD to hear such terrible news . My condolences to the Family and wishes that there heartache may be soothed in time by the CARING Family and Friends around them. God Bless them  !!!

I heartbroken with grief to read about your son's death. While I never met him, I could tell that you are a proud father by the way you spoke of your family during our few trips to Natoma.

It is a great tragedy that not all of us realize from a young age how essential it is to appreciate those individuals who don't fit all of the norms.

Heart felt condolences. Terrible loss indeed. I have a 13 years old son, he ask me what he can do to bullies at school, I told him to talk to teachers but, he is afraid he will be labeled snitch. I told him if he is in the right he need to stand up against bullying. Bullying is no joke, I agree with Joe schools needs to be more vigorous dealing with bullies.
