Well..if you don't party hard. ... :smt044
Live your life, the way you want to be remembered. Don't have any regrets, we only get this one dance to make it count. Start at your eulogy, and work backwards.

On a positive note:

Looks like another great event; but that's to be expected from Eric!!!

Congrads to all the winners; and to Roger, "Shu Bros Rock"!!

Thanks to all the sponsors for the time and generousity for helping make this events successful!

Great pics! Makes me feel like I was right there with all of you; and makes me sadder that i wasn't :smt010. Hopefully next year the stars will align and I will have enough WAF points to make it to GS10 and other activities in May. I miss my NCKA family!!!!

Thanks brotha! We missed you too! 😄

What a weekend we had on our GS9 journey!
First, I would like to thank Eric and family, the sponsors and everyone that helped to make this event a great time for all.
This year I convinced my wife Ashley and daughter Olivia(6yrs.) to make the trip North to Shelter Cove with me.
They were blown away at the sheer beauty of the North Coast, the pristine sea shores and towering trees.
Add to that the friendly and helpful brothers and sisters of the NCKA and you have one great time!

I got to fish one day - tourney day. I was somewhat apprehensive upon arrival on Friday afternoon with the winds whipping the ocean into a frothy mess.
On Saturday the seas were much calmer although I got a face shot as I launched into a 2 footer LOL!
It was a slow bite at first for me, with a couple of small fish early.
Once the ocean calmed down a bit I took off on the troll. Not 10 minutes into dragging a herring in 50FOW I picked up a decent Cabezon, and then a mid-sized Black RF.
I pulled the Trevala out next and started jigging after hearing the dismal Salmon reports.
Luckily I hailed Fishworks on the radio and got the hot spot intel.
It took a while to pedal to the spot, but once there I picked up a couple of nice Lings.
It was good to fish with friends, in the washing machine, everyone fishing hard and scoring on a decent bite.
I ended up fishing Wingshooter's Branson Baits with good success, the slug, when quivered, really seemed to attract a bite.
After awhile on that bite I decided to head back a bit early - with only 3 fish kept - 2 for a few meals and 1 for the taco shack.

It was great to see old friends and meet new ones - what a great time!
Big congrats to all the winners, and Happy B-day SCtrace!
Thanks to my Hangtown Crew team mates too!

See you all at Albion next!

I arrived on Friday with Reelknots, setup camp, and began to chillax with our NCKA fam.  Conditions looked beautiful and there were a lot of people on the water but we opted to stay on land and harass all the peeps at the beach, fish cleaning station, and around the campgrounds.  Thank you Crash for hooking it up with the oysters!

Gameday/Saturday - Hit the water with SCTrace and Reelknots at 0630 and head to the usual spot and fished 40-60FOW for nada.  At 0800 we moved in shallower, and got into some lings.  Everyone in that area was hooking up, including birthday girl/SCTrace that caught a couple of fat lings.  I caught and released some nice lings, a few underlings, and kept a 26" and a 28".  Didn't find any RGCs.

Sunday - Fished with the SCSS and friends andtried a different spot near the red can in 20-60 FOW for nada.  Went to the the same spot that produced Saturday but couldn't find any love.  It was sloooow until we drifted over a small reef in 40 FOW and found a little action with the homies.  Kept 2 cabs, 3 medium sized black rockfish and released a 24" ling. At noon the bite started to pickup but we had to go and pack for the long ride home.

Thank you to LoletaEric, sponsors, and everyone that made this event possible.  Mad props to all of the cool people that made it an AWESOME weekend...you know who you are...
