Hey all,

Rob just posted the proposed two(2) options for the Halibut fishery this year and neither option shows the season to be open on the day of GS-9. Rut row...might have to revisit the format. Eric..your thoughts?

Thank you, Shannon.  I'm waiting for the official DFW regulation to come out, but it does look like we may not be halibut fishing on tourney day.  If that's the case then it'll be a salmon and lingcod show only - turn in up to 4 fish, no more than two lingcod.  Of course, if someone catches a California halibut it would be eligible.

I'll revise the intro post and forms once DFW publishes the rule.

I would really love to make this tourney but the kids are still in school and that is a loooooong trip to have to be back on Monday.

I've done day trips from Sacramento before. Not that far. Come Fri night, fish Sat Sun and drive home.

Great, this almost guarantees that this will be the year I catch a PacBut at GMS...

Omar and I didn't get to make it last year but we'll be there this year! We're both looking forward to it.

Close family members/significant others do not need to be sponsored or be NCKA members.  The reasoning:  if a wife/GF/BF was required to become a member then they might come on here and discover how addicted their spouse/BF/GF is to yakfishing!

Kids are always welcome, and there will be an announcement about the kids' division at some point - glad to have you guys back.
