Thanks again all. I have lived in Mariposa, Mt. Shasta, San luis obispo, Fresno , santa cruz and now monterey. I fished from a kayak in morrow bay mostly caught cabezon and kelp bass. It looks like I don't need to go too far from PG for some great rockfish spots. Sorry for all the posts it won't let me reply to posts until I hit 10 posts.

Welcome. Great place to be fishing where you live...many options and definitely more mild than some of the other places on the north coast. Great band of brothers here.  :smt006
