I have lived in Ukiah for 17 years and I have never fished the Bendo at Mendo(but I just got got in to yak fishing this last year) I wanted to ask the folks here what their thought were about me putting together Bendo at Mendo V for 2015? I talked to Jef(One F) from Pacific outfitters and he is down to help me. I do not want to offend anyone or piss anyone off.

I'd love to see another BAM get together when the lake rises. Those were part of my first meetings with NCKA ..an awesome time in my life.

LIKE! I missed out on all the other ones. Pm SBD maybe for some info about the lake and the possibilities. He organized them.

Mendo sounds like a great location and I'd like to see it happen. The Bendo at Mendo is one of those things members speak nostalgically about.

Was a great event. I thought they weren't sustaining the striper fishery.

BAM was fun.  There are two reasons we can't have a BAM anymore:

1) There is no stocking program to support the population anymore.  Last time we planted was 2009.

2)We can't get a permit to restock due the ESA.

So enjoy the fish that are left, and please C and R.

The fishing now is nothing like it used to be.  Back in the day it was awesome.  Best striper fishing anywhere.  Boils that were acres wide.  Now one or two fish here and there.  Live bait will be banned next year as well as part of the new quagga inspection program. Sad to see the fishery tank, I put countless hours into it.

Dang I loved that fishery.  Paddling through a huge boil and fighting those 10-12# toads on 6lb test was just plain awesome.
