I get a itchy cold-prickly sensation for days after any long session in my FJ wetsuit. I thought it was a reaction to salt from not rinsing off soon enough after ocean fishing or that I had picked up some redwood bark hanging the wetsuit on a tree. But, it seems that I get the reaction to some extent even in freshwater and when I haven't gotten overly hot. Anyone experienced this? Any fix? Does it happen in a dry suit? Itchy back drives me nuts  :smt013

Its called the steel wire brush syndrome. Goes with the territory sometimes when the inside of the wetsuit is damp and you are sitting on it all day. That why I like tempest pants and jacket. Over layers of mysterioso.

It could be some type of skin reaction to the material.  I soak mine in a garbage can full of water and rinse.  If I had those kind of reactions I would be trying on a different suit to see if it still happens.

I got a bad rash from my wetsuit today. My armpits are red with a ton of bumps. I need a rash guard, but I solved this with a new drysuit anyway that's coming in this week.

Okay, so much for my ideal of bare handing 10" abs in a loin cloth. I've gotta be comfortable.

You wont have rash then. You WILL have shrunken penis syndrome though. Balls pulled back to that immature resting spot. :smt003 :smt006 :smt008

What kind of wetsuit are you wearing and are you diving in it or fishing from your kayak in it?
I put my wetsuit on with lube. 50/50 mix of Cure Care and water. I get a gallon of it from Sally Beauty for under $11 tax included. It's a skin and hair conditioner. No rash problems whatsoever and after my dive my skin feels silky soft.
Go ahead and laugh, but it beats what you are experiencing any day.

NRS 3mil FJ so just fishing in it. I do love when my body hair is luxiourous though. I have read about the beauty supply store suit lube, good looking out. As for the penis/ball shrinkage,I can handle one or the other but both!!  :smt009   :smt044

sometimes a brand new wetsuit will give me a rash. Pee in it a lot then wash it and the nasty manufacturing residues go away.

I wear a long sleeve silk T-Shirt under my wet suit. Works for me.

Or you can just wash it.   :smt044 :smt044 :smt044
