I may have to get in on this one this year...no matter the format, Lips Will Be Ripped!

Do it! We could always use fellow a SacCrew to give these Jefferson boys a fishing lesson.
Oh its Already Done! The only difference is they'll only be ONE SacCrew Team Leading and the other folllowing....YUP, TEAM BRANSON, SON!  :headbang:
That is the way it has been for the last three years.  SacCrew, 1st and 2nd.  See you there, number two!
1st - 2013 Angler of the Year- All time high score
1st - 2016 Angler of the Year
1st - 2016 CCKF AOTY - All time high score

With the increased bag limit on lings and decreased bag limit on black rockfish, are the tournament organizers considering any changes to the scoring format for 2015?  Will there be a "miscellaneous rockfish" category to capture some of those awesome coppers and grass rockfish we saw last year?

Good question. I think that maybe they should look at this again. Especially the numbers for Blacks and Blues, 8ppi for each. That's doesn't seem right. We all know Trindad has some big black rockfish: 18" - 19" for a good fish. Very doubtful anyone's going to catch a 19" blue rockfish new CA state record. What, the average big blue is like 15" - 16" if that. They should just remove it all together if that's the case and add copper at the same 8ppi. 2cents

It's a great location and fun tournament. If the date stays the same ill work hospital visits around it. Someone from pac out will log on and give an update eventually...

Love the extra challenge of the 3 species requirement.

+1.  I had a blast at last year's TRW.  Regardless of potential changes to the scoring system, the two things that make this format so awesome IMO are the team scoring and the multi-species requirements.  I was also very impressed with how the tourney was run--very professional with a lot of enthusiasm.  I definitely plan on attending this year.

I usually get pretty stoked when I'm fishing with my brother and he catches a nice fish, but at TRW that stoke goes to another level because it's all about the TEAM score and not the individual.  Seeing him haul up a 25 inch cabezon and 37 inch ling back-to-back on tourney day was awesome  :smt003.

Liked event. Great location. Noticed that no one was answering radio all day. No chatter, no reports etc- Had right channel. A little dangerous if someone goes in the water. Remember- safety first.

TRW is the weekend after salmon closes. Halibut should still be open.

I'd like to see a catch all rockfish category.
