Met Bill and Dan Sat. morning and set-up camp right next tot he (closed) boat launch. We trolled the usual areas and got our limits within a couple of hours. My first one was caught trolling with a rapala husky jerk. The second one was a 21 incher - I was actually fishing for LMB at 3-4 feet of water with a small spinner bait. When the striper hit, I was yelling at Bill (OK...screaming like a girl who just bruised her knee at the play ground :smt011) and telling him I may just have hooked into a record LMB  :smt007 Then I realized I was fishing with a light trout set-up (6#mono with an ultra light rod) and of course, anything you hook will feel like a train :smt002 Anyway, the fish made several runs until I saw color - "It's a striper! It's a striper" :smt091 Shallow water stripers KICK ASS :smt023

Sunday was slow - I got one small striper to hit. The LMB however were fun to play with :smt002

Dan and Bill caught their share of fish - I'll leave that to them....

I was also impressed with Bill's attempt on "Hella-Asian-cooking" He did a great job deep frying the stripers but unfortunately forgot to bring the secret sauce :smt011 The eating was still great = Thanks Papa Bill :smt023 We even had french fries and Dan's cookies for dessert :smt045 By the way, Bill and Dan have the stomach capacity of a chipmunk...which was good for me  :smt002

Had a great time!

pics to follow....

....Sundays only victim (besides the LMB). Caught and released trolling a Husky Jerk along the weed line - otherwise know as "Striper alley"
