I'm headed that way, probably launch around seven thirty.

See you there?

Hope the swells are clear for your launch and landing if you intend to go out. Be careful though, the swells are predicted 6-8ftNW and 2ft S.

Hello Paul,

I'll be there too.  Hopefully I don't get lost.  I'm driving a 1993 green Toyota 4-runner with Sunshine-Yellow color kayak on top.  Pls  wave me over if you happen to see me driving by.

Thanks,
-Ron

I am taking some off time, as my freezer cannot accomodate much more fish now.

Conditions look primo, supposedly better than today - forecast swells NW 4-5, and S 2 , and 5-10 kt winds.  Should be very nice.  You may see some big breakers as above - just wait for the small sets and should be fine.

Paul knows where to find fish, but I will also share the coords of where we found structure and lots of fish, big lings, last week.  I hooked 3 big ones that kept diving, but just was able to land the one big one.

37.13.456
122.25.355

Should find it within 50 feet of that in any direction, work the drift and you'll find the meat of the structure.  Might be north of that point, just can't remember.

I think Greg's nice halibut was SE of that structure, though not that far from it.

Just watch the surf launching, avoid those 3 or 4 (or 5) big breaker sets, look for flat outside the cove, and you should have lots of fun and some great catches, I hope.

Let us know how it goes!

Of course, all that matters is what you find when you get there, but the conditions forecast that I found for BH is
SUN
NE WINDS 5 TO 10 KT. WIND WAVES 1 TO 2 FT. MIXED SWELL NW 6
TO 8 FT AT 12 SECONDS AND S 2 FT AT 18 SECONDS.

So, random 12 foot swells canl be expected.  Today, Stillwater Carmel, normally very protected, was a jumbled mess and when the wind came up we headed home to the smoked ling from earlier in the week.  Now THAT's good fishing!........... :smt003

Oh yeah, look at that.  They did revise it upward, from just noon today!  Thanks for looking that up Seabreeze!  Never saw a forecast change so much in 6 hours...

Well, I guess it's not far off from how it was at both Elk and HMB tourneys.  Just a trickier launch, for sure.

Can't say that I'd be deterred from showing up, but i'd def. check it out.  It could make launching a bit more exciting, and I'd plan to be off the water by noon.

Of course, I wasn't planning on going to begin with...  So, easy for me to say... :smt039
