I went and bought some bait from my buddy who works at the monterey fish co...he showed me close ups on his phone and told me he got to go in the abalone farmers work boat to take a look at the GWS Pup when it first was swimming inside of wharf 2....and he did pet it pinch the dorsal fin...maybe not p.c , this was early on in the week before the story broke ,,,it was not anywhere we could see it from the pier this afternoon

that dorsal in shape and color pattern is very close to one I saw from my kayak...closer than any internet pic I was able to find....I had no idea they were so varied in color and swept back on the tip...as well as tattered looking on the thin back edge....that is what I saw..just bigger
