When I decided on the Lowrance Elite 4 HDI, I was told that it was a skimmer mount and the Lowrance skupper mount kit would not work with it. Well.....it does. The skimmer attachment slides off, which will allow the transducer to slide onto the skupper  mount. I'm including a few pics to show the installation on my Field & Stream Eagle Talon .

All right, this is from 3 years ago, but just for kicks how has this mount worked out for you?

I picked up an Eagle Talon for my first kayak and am not looking at fish finders.  Was pretty much resolved to put the transducer on an arm mount over the side, but then I see this!  Looks like a good setup and is above the keel and protected somewhat.
