This is my first post here. I'm new to this sport and my wife and I are really enjoying our kayaking on the lakes and mild rivers near our home. I have a WS T140 coming that is olive color. My question is-what should I do to make myself more visible on the water (if anything?).  Is the olive going to be "invisible" to power boats? Should I be concerned or do I worry too much? Thanks in advance for any replys.

Brightly colored hat....I wear a yellow ball cap. Saw this guy at GS8 with a big orange hat. Looked like a traffic safety cone on his head :smt044 :smt044
Couldn't miss him  :smt003

Also Joe BloodBath sells flag mounts you might want to PM him.

I use a Yak Attack VisiCarbon flag w/ light. One of my Tarpons is olive and I have never had a problem even before the flag. Olive does blend in though. Just keep your head on a swivel and be prepared to wave your paddle if you see a boat coming. Don't worry, just have fun. I have dark paddles too.

I have an Olive Outback, I keep a 'water-skier' orange flag handy with a caribinear clip on it, and just attach that to my spare rod.  Cheap, simple, effective.
