I plan on being there by 2 pm or so on Thursday and leaving Sunday around Noon.  I will volunteer to make hot breakfast fixings Friday, Saturday and Sunday at what ever designated time you guys feel is good.  We can have the fruit and other fixings just available but if they want pancakes or other hot food it will be between the time frame you pick.  I can bring a couple dozen eggs from my chickens that are organic for those that only eat organic.  I will also bring some homemade jams and jellies we canned. There will also be a couple of generators so I just grabbed an extra 5 gallons of gas and will bring a waffle maker just in case.
WOW!!!! Awesome!!!! Gonna have to kick me into the water to get me away from all the grub!!! Fish!?!??!! eat??!!!? What to do!!!!! Gonna be a good weekend for the vets and everyone!!!

my new name should be Ostridge. Got my head in the sand. Going fishing and letting go of the other stuff I can't control anyway!

looks like we have plenty of stoves, do ya think we need another one?  going to need cooking Utensils…

Going to be HOT… Looks like Thursday is the cool one at 93, and then looks like 97 till Sunday,  but hey, it's a dry heat!!!

so were doing the cooking by propane grills,  How many do we have ?… with that many Tri Tips going, Dogs, etc… maybe we should be looking at firing up the massive grill,,,  it is hard to finesse cook on that thing though ...

Danglin,

I thought you or someone was bringing a camp stove and kitchen unit.  If so that along with mine should work.  VK said he had a big grill with charcoal and it looked like it would be big enough to cook all tri-tips.  If you want to get another stove that's up to you as you can cook larger quantities than on the smaller stove that's part of the kitchen unit, but that's only if you have pots big enough to handle it.

If Costco has pre made batter it usually says how many it will feed on side.  If not you can get some bisquick boxes and they handle 155 pancakes per box but we would need 3 quarts of milk and 18 eggs per box batch.

If we end up making waffles you can grab a 3 pack of canned whipping cream while at Costco and I am sure you would make some happy campers.

In all of Don's writings to the Vets he has told them to bring things to make themselves self sufficient, including food.  I have the feeling that once we get there, we could set up shop and feed Mariposa County from now until Christmas.   :smt003

It's going to be hot and people will be burning calories.  So a little extra food and having choices is a good thing.

I hope the future Redding chapter is taking notes.
