Hey Jerry:  Can you take care of Sunday lunch?  Whatever you feel like doing.  It will be our last meal of the weekend? 

JustRoberts and I are bringing costco brats, man dogs, buns and salad stuff for pot luck meals.
We will be there saturday before noon.

approximate how many?  I'll be hitting Costco tomorrow too after we figure where we are at, which should be tonight ….

I just picked up 2 fully cook, smoked, butterball turkeys, just have to defrost, 2, 24 paks of hard boiled eggs and  2 bags of Fortune cookies,  go to Love my Mother-in-….

I'll be kicking off Sunday with a work crew, then get lunch for those who are hanging around;

I'm not sure I'm following what's going on here…

but here's what I see…

Breakfast is oatmeal, snack bars and fruit,  if we have an extra grill, hot plates etc…  I'm not against getting a bunch of sausage, bacon, eggs, cheese, torts, whatever; if there are some that want to cook it up a bit…  thinking of buying one of those Costco Camping stoves, do we have extra propane grills to set up?

Lunch,  again, I'm figuring on getting lunch meat, loaves of bread, cheese, lettuce (HEAD) to make sandwiches at will, chips, drinks , Weimarin, whatever ya got going great and don't let me interfere with what ever y'all are doing….

Dinner does not look solid….

I can pick up a ton O chicken to grill up one night, and dogs and brats another, maybe Hamburgers too….

the vets coming will probably be somewhat self-efficent and I'm sure anyone coming camping will have something for themselves.  going to HAVE LOTS OF KIDS HERE...

It was a lot of going through sign up list and waivers to individually invite all these vets, a little hard to go back and call each one to figure out what they want for dinner… but I did tell them all that dinner and food in general was a little unsettled, but we will have something going...


So,  we just go forward with what we have, cook up some masses of food Friday and Saturday night….  done

need lots of so-mores  with Choacolate, gram crackers and marshmallows and poles to roast them on…

so, what am I getting at Costco Tomorrow?  Jack has all the paper plate, hot cups, knives, forks, stuff too, need to buy more of that...

Don, are you planning on buying the Sunday lunch stuff, or me? (See shopping list I made above) I was going to drive down to Costco, but sorta sounds like you are wanting to do the shopping.  Let me know. 

I have my camper with a fridge to keep the dogs and condiments cold until Sunday as well.  I know Rob will have a fridge and DG is bringing his RV along as well, so we should be good keeping the cold things, like raw chicken, hamburger, etc at a safe temp. for a few days. 

I just posted the final food assignment.   Remember that our head count is a total of 50 at most by estimation, so, keep that in mind.  We always seem to have way too much food and waste a lot.  We always run short of ice.  So if you have an extra ice chest, bring it full of ice.  Thank you for volunteering food and help.  I want to keep to the time slots for lunch and dinner as those helping with food can also fish and enjoy themselves.  This is going to be a great event.  Remember the healing for the vets comes when they are in the yak and relaxing.  Let's give them that time. 

Just so you know, TW will only be there Sat last I heard. His snacks will be Sat unless someone can pick them up.

Winco gave us pork 1/2 price to make pulled pork and a lot of other savings. Folks Support HOW!!! We don't have drinks for lunch... I'm sure there will be leftovers but we can snack or use it in the next meal... (pulled pork sandwiches are the bomb!!!!)

Who is picking up drinks? TW will have g aide and water for Sat. We need for Fri still.

I also have a CASE of FUJI Apples,,,  Good ones...

The only water and drinks being picked up so far is from Tim and he is only there Sat.

We will probably have enough to make nachos fri night too if needed... Let's get them on the water with full tummys Don I like Blue gatorade, all the blue flavors, and diet pepsi!!!!! Powerade has corn syrup and will make folks sick in the heat, G-ade has glucose the body can use right away!!! we will bring some wood but are space limited at this point. rob can you fit wood in around those Kayaks speaking of BBQ pit... anyone bringing charcoal!?!?

I got wood!! I will bring firewood for evening time too.

I have lots I want to get rid of that I don't want in my house.

I'm going to be buying water/drinks, eggs, sausages/bacon, cheese, loaves of bread, codements, ketchup/mustard,  dogs, chicken, hamburgers, brats, chips, plates, knives , cups and forks,,,,  BQ sauce  what else

ok here`s what I`m working on ; I have 3 tri-tips ,but am picking up 3 more for Fri dinner, total : 6 tri -tips.

 I`m bringing my large BBQ w/charcoal

Raydon has veggies for Fri and Rev is taking care of salad Fri

Maybe another  for those that don like Beef ? ( really  ) and......  if  someone could.... a couple of side dishes..taters / beans /rolls for Fri nite dinner

 I`m bringing 2 cases H2O and  1 case soda mixed flavors...

That sounds Awesome,, now were talking…  so that's 6 TriTips….  I could buy 6 more,, what do you think that will feed?  That's Friday Dinner with a few more sides, with possible left overs for sandwiches too, 

Weimarin has Lunch Saturday, pulled pork,,  ,   awesome….

Lots of lunch meat around with the 2 Turkeys I'm bringing,  Maybe buy some more…. Just thinking aloud, but I think were close…
