All his DOTY entries have been with a pole spear...he did have to take a second shot on a Ling with a gun earlier this year, but then found a bigger one and nailed it with his pole spear.

Thanks for all the word's of encouragement guys. Tote, never say never, if you believe you can learn to dive 90-100' and hunt big fish and you work at it, you absolutely can. I'm not going to say who, but I know of a serious competitor on DOTY who was born with a collapsed lung and severe asthma. I personally find that fact inspirational but I don't think he wants me making that information known.

Hint: His initials are Adam Suave.

Charlie has certainly posted some catches that, while impressive on their own, are made more inspirational by his self-imposed "no guns allowed" rule.

As a middle-of-the-pack competitor, though, I have to commend all you guys at the top of the leaderboard for giving me something to aspire toward!

Just go down and hang out in the kelp beds off of Salmon Creek Falls. I bet NOBODY dives there.
