Boycott Annie's brand food, please!

I heard General Mills is going to start a marketing campaign for non-gmo foods.  This may be why they bought Annie's.  Now they will have something for everyone.   

I wish I had the time to figure out what was in my food.

Just please keep buying organic.   My boss needs you to buy me a jet.   Driving to Yuma and El Centro sucks.  Reason for my visit to the desert southwest?   Setting up an organic spray company. 

Side notes.   Disgusted by water use here.

For some strange reason I thought you guys might care about this.

Apparently I was wrong.

I applaud you for having a passion about your food.  Nothing wrong with that.

I live out in the farming country.  What I haven't fully figured out yet is how fields that were, just a year ago, non-organic now converted to organic.  The soil, as far as I know, should take more than a year to "detox" itself of pesticides.  Don't get me started on the ground water that they use since it contains potentially harmful, in the long term, contaminates.  Doesn't add up in my mind.

What is your problem with the purchase and sale?  You haven't told is why we should give a fuck. Is GM murdering children and puppies?  Did they come in and lay off half the work force and outsource to child labor in Bangladesh? 

Annie's cashed in and GM is diversifying into the booming organics niche. What is so offensive that it requires a boycott?

Is this all just a matter of GMO labeling?  Most non-GMO manufacturers proudly label their products as such. Most people don't care. GMO foods are almost certainly safe for consumption. I don't like the concept of patenting biological products, but that ship has sailed. You aren't the only person I've heard today with their jimmies all rustled over this, I'm just trying to figure out why.

Is it wintertime already?

Remember recently when Prop 37 (GMO labeling) failed in California? General Mills was one of the biggest donors to the opposition. They dumped millions upon millions of dollars into a campaign to keep consumers in the dark about what they're eating.

I used to really like Annie's as a brand. They were a local company that offered tasty, organic, non-GMO food. They also had a mission statement that jived with my personal values (support small family farms, not mass-scale monoculture).

They state that their mission "is to cultivate a healthier and happier world by spreading goodness through nourishing foods, honest words and conduct that is considerate and forever kind to the planet."

Now they are owned by a company that spends billions to keep us in the dark, and uses environmentally irresponsible farming practices.

The reason I am asking you to boycott their products is to send them a message that we do not approve...
