Elite 4 HDI

Just got my new Elite 4HDI in the mail from Cabelas and waiting on the battery to arrive by Thursday. Has anyone had any issues with water getting in the FF? I saw a post where the micro sd slot was sealed. Is that necessary? Also, has anyone had any issues with sun glare with this unit? Thanks in advance. I'll try and post a couple of pics when I'm done.

The battery I'm getting is a 12v 9ah. I'm hopping that's good enough for at least a day trip, 2 days would be better. If needed, maybe I'll get another battery as a back up.

Always check that you have the chip cover in plact and free of debris so it seals properly.

There have been cases of corrosion.  To my knowledge, lowrance has taken care of those customers.  Key is to make sure its shut.  I'm confident if something does happen, you'll get assistance.

No glare problems for me. Haven't had any issues with water either.

Was just in the Santa Cruz West Marine store during lunch.  The Elite 5 HDI GOLD is still on sale for $329 (without transducer).
