It's all up on the Hobie home page now. New AI is a beast. Different hull is 16'7" & much different weight difference. I don't know about cartopping the new AI? is up to PA weight i think. So glad they kept the Revo 16 managable. Whew......

Basically just changed the existing addy hull to accept the new seat. Won't know more until somebody reliable gets eyes on.

Sounds more like a marketing name change than a redesign of the adventure to be more like a revo.  Definitely a new cockpit for the seat but the rest looks very 2013 adventure-ish.

Hey Adam, it'll seem like Xmas morning when you finally get your ass on an Addy or Revo16!

I just noticed that it looks like they discontinued the dagger board hole with the new Revo16 hull. It's only offered on the AI now if the pictures & kayak descriptions are correct.

Here's the link.       http://www.hobiecat.com/mirage/mirage-revolution-16/

Yes the Revo13 is slightly/barely more stable but I guarantee you do a super long 10 or 12 hour day on a Revo13 & then jump on a Revo16 the next day & you'll be just fine with the tiny difference in primary stability vs the HUGE difference in pedaling ease.

Looks more like an adventure without the capability of turning into an island.
That and the different seat is all I really see.
What I DON'T see is Hobie making the front hatch large enough to easily stow the mirage drive with turbo fins.  :smt011 That should have been a given from day one.
These kayaks are becoming hell of expensive.

The revo 16 is the same as the 2014 adventure, except for the new seat, name and lowrance ready. The AI is a compleatly new boat.

When they say no weight gain but longer, would that mean there's a compromise somewhere? Thinner plastic perhaps?
