Any suggestions on a good electric smoker for around $100? Or $150? All suggestions welcome. Thanks

My Big Chief has smoked a ton of meat and has been well worth the money.  It's old and tarnished now and I'm looking really hard at the Brinkman electric smoker.

I think it depends on how much use you'll get out of it and how much meat you'll do at any given time (the Big Chief is kinda small for a turkey).  I smoke most of my fish and birds so I may bite the bullet and get something more robust.....

I never looked back after getting my traeger jr elite. I'm so glad I saved up more money and got it. Even my wife loves to use it. Here's some ribs and then a  6lb ham and a 12 lb turkey for size comparison.
I also have the same model.and I do regret buying it I should've bought the bigger model the Texas, otherwise I love the thing.
My biggest worry is that my wife(when I'm dead)will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it

I've got 2, a Little Chief that I've had for years, and a run of the mill Masterbuilt 30" electric. Luv'em both but they need attention during the process. Manual chip loading and keeping the water pan full.

Little Chief (can't believe they're up to about $100 now).  Works great for anything you want to get smoke flavor into but doesn't really get hot enough to "cook".  That's great for stuff you don't want cooked.

The Masterbuilt (a little over $150) pretty much cooks everything, it only has one big heating element and the wood chip pan sets on it, to get the burner hot enough to get the smoke started the whole box usually end up around 180-200F, great for stuff you want cooked. It will also get hotter too if need be.

That's a deal.

That's the one I've got, no complaints, on the same note, I did look at a number of reviews (a bunch), the major complaint I saw was for DIGITALLY controlled ones having the electronics go out and being hard to get serviced.

Thought it was but not.
Works great though I believe it cost about 100.00 bucks.

What do you do to keep that thing so clean?  Mine definitely has smoke residue over most of it.
