I actually would be kinda happy to be able to keep three micro lings.
I'm not a big fan of the large spawned out stretch mark belly fish.

The small lings make killer ceviche also because they have way less parasites.

So, after writing a response to this article I'm just going to go with "what a ____, trying to foment divisiveness while being patronizing to the group he is supposedly writing for"

I will eat any extra ling I catch and he can keep thinking he is holier than I for doing so.

I hope every one I eat has "stretch marks", that means they have made babies once or more already, rather than eating it before it can contribute to the population.
Less Mental than before, Still savage AF tho <3

Kind of echoing polepole here but, I'd be happy to see a maximum size limit imposed. I feel like slot limits are a fantastic and underutilized management tool for longterm fishery health. They can be a difficult sell since the "bigger is better" mentality is hard to shake, especially in the fishing for profit sector. They've been great for numerous fisheries though, Striped Bass in the Chesapeake Bay being a classic example.

Also I have no issue keeping an additional small ling. Three 24-26" lings would be rad.
