And yes- when my co-worker gave me "his banana", from his lunch, to try and dislodge the bone,the joking started right away
I asked him if I was supposed to eat it whole ...

Sometimes when something gets stuck in throat or scratches your throat. If it was something I could still feel like it is there because it was scratches the throat. Same thing happens when it is scratched. The most important thing is you realize that your breathing. And relax. If you can eat bread or the other things most likely a scratch. If it continues for an extended period then get seen.
