anyone had a fish bone caught in their throat?

I got a tiny fish bone --maybe a thin soft salmon pin bone---while eating my leftovers for lunch today,anyone had this?
I have tried eating a banana .
 I have drank a whole quart both fast and slow of gatorade.
I will stop on my way home from work and buy a handful of green bananas and go on a banana eating frenzy when I get home...wash it down with a bit of olive oil 

nothing painful or bleeding -just a very faint feeling like I need to swallow again and again-- like a popcorn shell or aspirin stuck in the throat feeling

Try some bread chew it just enough to swallow then chase it with a big glass of water. If it is in the throat area, you may be able to pull it out with hemostats or vomit it out. If it is in the esophagus you are screwed. If it doesn't pass they have to surgically remove it.

 I'm hoping it will dissolve or pass---I feels much better already ...gonna try these posted remedies when I get home

Sorry to hear about your predicament!  I've always heard bread as well.  Good luck and ill cross my fingers that there's no surgery in your near future!!

Massage the outside part where you feel the bones is stuck. If you have rice take a handful and make a onigiri (rice ball) swallow it whole, no you are not going to choke flush it with water.. Good luck!

That's happened to me before.  The bone has always dissolved over a day or so in the few times it happened.

It took about three hours but it moved,or dissolved on it's own before I got home.
I think i have had little pin bones go down and catch before ,but they always move along with some food or liquid.
This last one today was  in there good enough to get me checking google and posting here.
I was pretty worried it might mean a visit to the modern witch doctors who I have had bad experiences with more than good ones.
I won't go to a doctor unless I'm bleeding all over the floor or super sick,and even then I'll try other remedies first.

I was all focused on tying leaders for tomorrows yak fish outing...then read this thread and decided it felt better...now as I swallow I feel it in there...it will dissolve!!!!!!!
