Siskiyou County Kayakers

Any Siskiyou County kayak fishermen want to hook up for fishing kelp beds off the coast? Brookings, Ore... Crescent City or Trinidad  for the tournament?

I live in eureka but I do have a place at r ranch In hornbrook, so I'm kinda a siskiyou county guy. Let's hook up either yellow perch in iron gate or over here I on the coast.

I live in Redding mtncat, but fish irongate and copco for perch a lot, plus love to go to the ocean! heading over to Trinidad Saturday!!!!

I hadn't heard of iron gate until you posted, didn't know there were any lakes around with yellow perch, one of my favorite fish to catch/eat when I lived back east.

I am in for a hook-up there, during the week or a Saturday.

mmm...copco lake perch wonton style from trout opener weekend one of my all time favorites.

Ore gulch fire came all the way down to the north side of copco lake. They have managed to keep the fire from jumping the river and it's about 42% contained this morning. Luckily the family cabins are on the south side. I'll be heading up in about a week or two for a first hand look.

Will probably put a few perch in the yak to bring home and trip on up to the Rogue to swing flies for some summer steel...PM if interested in a little perch massacre...

Redding to Trinidad 3-4 hours depends on how you drive.

Thanks Codzilla... scary flip you had.. You survived..Im sure you are better for it... great lesson to us all. I will be working on self rescue big time after that story..

Anytime someone wants to hook up for yellow perch  let me know. Fires pretty much have it shut down up here. Im heading to the coast for some rockfishing.. Crescent City area...
