I came across this UK website that has the most creative and complete collection of kayak modifications I have seen. I like that the person doing the mods understands that a kayak is a very cheap boat and has no worries about cutting holes and adding hatches or deck mounts to make it perfect for his needs. I am very cautious from my years of sailboat and powerboat ownership about making holes in boats and it is a little silly with a $1000 kayak or even a $2000 kayak to have this degree of trepidation. This website helped me to get a little perspective and some great ideas for kayak modifications and gear additions.
