What is not to like about this event? I mean, awesome people, awesome food, awesome place (not so awesome weather) Awesome organizer, I went home fishless :smt003 I still had an awesome time! I slept early since I did not have to clean fish till midnight :smt005

Craig and Linelle including all those who volunteered THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR HARD WORK!! I had a blast. Cant wait for next one.

Event day I got sick, next day everybody went for Salmon, I took home 2 lowly blacks bycatch trolling for Salmon on 80ft of water. Gave them to my mother in law who was waiting for me to get home...

Good thing Ken Jan gave me a chunk piece of salmon and fishhead for filleting them. Thanks Ken!

EDIT: THANKS TO ALL THE SPONSORS for their contnuing support of our NCKA Community!

Great video Mike! It pretty much captured the whole thing, except for actually being there.
I had fun.

Love the video Tote. You totally made me feel like I was there too. Thanks for taking the time making it to share with us all that couldn't attend this year. Congrats to all the winners and thanks Craig and Linelle for all of your hard work. I hope not to miss next year.

Marv's pizza was the bomb!  And the blue marlin sashimi...  and ChuckE's fried ling...  Too much good food and fun.

It was too rough for us out there on game day so we headed up the river which is as always a relaxing fun time.

I miss you all already.

Oh man what a great time ! Thanks for the awesome event this was my first Albion trip and loved it. Thanks Craig and Linelle and all the sponsors. I get to demo the new sonar phone what should be fun. Fog came in quick and thanks Rockhopper for keeping a "eye" out for me in the fog you diapered so fast in the fog. Food was amazing and so were the people. I had a blast hanging with the NCKA crew!

Ha! That's a dope sequence of me being enveloped by the fog.

I'm not going to lie I was scared sh**less.  :smt003

Then, while trying to avoid the washrocks, I paddled right over them!

That's exactly what I get for leaving my GPS back at camp.

Other than pussin' out due to the fog I had an exceptional time. Vy had a lot of fun, too, and er'body made her feel right at home.

I miss my dudes already. This weekend is shaping up to look real purdy....

Had a great time at my 3rd NCKA. Craig, Linelle great job , thanks for making us feel welcome, Tommy congratulations on the win, Tony thanks for the Uke strum with ya!
Today I feel haunted by the 15-20 lb  salmon I lost By the yak on sun.  Man, so close yet so far away...in retrospect I think I should have tired him out more , he got that one second of slack line and thats all it took to go bye bye.
Next time right?...

What a great time!  thanks for hosting this event.
I stayed at Schooners where I met some guy camping next to me and I told him about NCKA.  He then met up with Jeff-Seaweed.  Next day this guy hopped in his truck and headed to the nearest kayak store and bought a Kayak!  ha!  Jeff and I helped him install his fish finder til about midnight, then next morning at 5am, he's out there heading into the ocean.  Welcome to the madness Greg!  Hope to see you on the board here soon!

On tournament day I got a limit of blacks and ling.  Wow!!   I chickened out on going all the way to the can but stayed in the 80~90' depth range straight out from the cove and caught everything there.  I was rigged for rock fish and there was no way I could switch over to salmon and not flip out of my kayak under those conditions.  My best day fishing ever!
Fishing near Glen -G-Whiz, I was facing into the waves and watched a huge wave crest and break behind him, he was facing the shore.  scared the crap out of me, AND Glen.  He was thinking it was a shark behind him!  ha!  That was in about 70~80' of water.  Thanks for the show Glen!  do it again!!

BTW, how come photos always makes the water look calm compared to how it really was?  It was 'E' ticket conditions.  Soon as the fog came in, I could hear folks getting sea sick around me.

Heading home, we finally got to cell phone coverage to find out our neck of the woods had been in some sort of fire; Sand Fire I was told.  About 4,000 acres and more than a dozen homes lost.  Our place was safe, the fire was a few miles south of us.

Glad your house is OK Jerry I was talking to Becky and she said is was up near where you live. Water looks pretty rough in this pic.
