And every new release is wider and heavier.

I like the looks and the layout.

It looks sweet! Everything is thought out and has a purpose.

It slices, it dices, and so effective it should be outlawed in tournaments.

Yeah it looks good but how much does it weigh and how does it paddle. Interesting that it is being marketed as an "offshore" kayak. Although the definition of "offshore" has different meanings, the 2 most commonly accepted definitions are:
1. Beyond sight of land (12-16 miles)
2. 20 miles (USCG)

So we are always fishing "inshore" unless on a mothership trip.

You are correct, but I paddle a cuda and all the little things I would like to change have been addressed on this .

havent got the exact numbers from jackson yet, but from the people who have paddled the hull, before the deck was configured, and these are very experienced saltwater paddlers, not just kayak anglers that have never paddled anything but a SOT fishing kayak, they say it is a wonderful paddling boat, i am still waiting to here about weight and dimensions, should be released closer to OR, but will update as we know, cameron

Looks sweet for sure. I too am interested in the weight and dimensions. I am in the market for another kayak. I offloaded my RTM a few months back because it was just too damned heavy.

I got some seat time in the prototype. It paddled really well. Sleek but stable. It's not designed to stand in but I was able to stand up and move around in it. I really like the ability to adjust the seat to trim out the boat. If the live well is full or conditions dictate you can move the seat to compensate and get performance. The 4 rod holders behind the seat are right up my ally, that's how I rigged up my Cuda. Jim Sammons has spent a lot of time on this project, and it's something they have been working on for awhile. It was defiantly not a rush job to fill a void. I, like all the JK guys, am really stoked the way Jackson has handled this project. When Sammons brought up the prototype we sat down after paddling it and talked about what a fishing kayak should be and what I look for in a kayak. They nailed the rod holders but I'm still hopeful for my custom plier pocket idea
